our first guest and a trip back to my childhood

Our very first guest to spend the night in our new apartment was Jered Lish!! We were so excited to host him and have him stay for part of the week. He was in Orlando for Labor Day weekend, so Jon and I picked him up on Monday.

To our great surprise, he asked if we wanted to go to Disney World! Heck yes we wanted to!!! I haven't been since I was like 7, so I didn't remember anything really. However, I did remember that I was terrified and prolly cried on Space Mountain. So many people have said they love that ride, so I was thinking I was a baby for crying... well, we went on and let me tell you, my tears as a kid were legit. It's in the dark and really fast. You also ride alone. No wonder I was so scared. NOW, I love that ride. So fun. We got park hoppers and only had time to go to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Thank you God for providing a way for us to go, that was affordable, and with a great friend! The spontaneous day was so great. Had Chipotle for dinner then home by midnight. It made for a rough morning, but soooo worth it :)







Jered introduced me to a new mexican food place on campus- Tiyuna Flats and it was amazing!! Jered and I spent time talking about the masters program that he's in at CSU- higher ed. I think that I would love it... definitely need to look into some things, but, I may want to be a student again. Weird.

The boys had a fun date night at Dragon Fly- I def am not a huge fan of sushi like they are. I got to have a girls night with Mallory. So fun, since I have barely seen her in the last few weeks since she got a grown up job... then finished the night off with frozen yogurt with the boys.

Thanks Jered for coming and staying with us. We loved having you, enjoying great conversations, and reminiscing on old memories. We hope to host you again!
