UPDATE!

Here goes... our roadtrip was awesome! We had the chance to stay in St. Louis with Lauren and Michael (whom we haven't seen since our wedding, almost 2 years ago), and hung out with Katie! We were surprised by Micah, Jonathan, Misha, and their baby DAVIN! He was so stinkin cute. Loved hanging out with them. I can't begin to express how blessed I have felt from the amazing friends God has blessed us with.

Then, we had the chance to stop in Birmingham to see one of our dearest friends Summer, from Myrtle Beach Project. This was only the 3rd time we have seen her since MBSP.

So much has happened in the last few weeks, I have been wanting to blog!! Without internet,I have had the challenge of finding time when at a local Starbucks using free internet.

Finally made it to Gainesville after a few days on the road and well spent with fun people. Thanks to everyone for hosting us and making this an unforgetable trip!!

Our apartment, is not the greatest. It's huge, built in the late 60's, so pretty old. We are thankful that we have a place to live, and it's only .5 miles from Jon's work. The day after we moved in, we found a new place to live... not too much further away, but a much better deal. It's newer, cleaner, and we got a great deal. By signing when we did we got free internet and cable for the year, plus the admin fees were hugely reduced. We are so pumped about our new place, we move August 4th!! It can't be soon enough, because our place is kinda gross. It hasn't been professionally cleaned in at least 3 years, sicko! ALSO, we have had cockroaches. Granted, that's part of what we get living in Florida, but seriously, we find them daily, dead and alive. It's become an adventure to us, and we enjoy spraying them and watching them die. Needless to say, can't wait to move!

We had the chance to go on a cruise with Jon's family the weekend after we got here. It was awesome. Lindsey flew in a few days early, hung out with us and helped us get as settled in as we plan on for the next few months, then we drove down to FT. Lauderdale to meet up with everyone else. This was my first cruise ever! I loved it, I couldn't believe how big the boat was!!

Here's a picture I took of the fish as we looked out of the little boat we needed to take to get to the Grand Cayman. There were so many, and I was amazed at how clear the water was!!

We got to spend an afternoon on the beaches of Grand Cayman

Played with monkeys and held birds in Honduras

Snorkled in Beliz, with the coolest tour guides ever. I don't have any pictures from that yet. This was prolly my favorite one. At first I thought I was gonna die because I couldn't figure out how to breathe well through the snorkel. Turns out you just have to breathe much harder! We learned how to dive a little bit, and we saw sweet things including a puffer fish, some fish that looked like a shark, and a few stingrays. The coral reef is the 2nd largest in the world, and the water is always around 70 degrees. The day was overcast which made us see more. SO COOL.

Finally, we got to horseback ride in Cozumel. Most everyone in the fam hated this one, except Kaity, Jon, and I. I loved it! It was so fun getting to ride the horse- the excursion definitely wasn't cool, nor were the bug bites that we got. Us girls got eaten alive, through our jeans. Kaity had over 50 bites.

Jon and I were really lucky because we celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the boat. It felt like our honeymoon again. He took me to a dinner on the boat just us two to spend some time alone. It was prolly the best meal we have ever had- we enjoyed filet mignon and lobster. YUM!! Food was fabulous, and it was great to spend some quality time with just him. He surprised me with roses and a chocolate cake back in the room. I love him so much, he's too good to me:)

We also made a dear new friend on the trip. His name is Howard and he's 86 years old. He came all by himself, and is so sharp and sweet. Kaity instantly fell in love with him, as did we all. We met him at lunch, and invited him to dinner with us. He came, and everytime we saw him we'd get to catch up. Turns out he is from Ocala, FL which is only about 30 minutes from Jon and I. I think that we will be seeing more of Howard!! I'm excited :)

What a great trip!! Thanks Greg and Susan for everything. Up until the day we left to go back to Gainesville, I was convinced that we were just on vaca and moving back to Colorado. Turns out, it's real and we are staying in Florida. Kinda weird, but very exciting!!
