Until we get in the truck and notice this...
Our windshield is shattered!!! Jon and I were so mad, seriously tree. There were no cars parked near us, couldn't you have fallen just a little more to the left or the right??? To top it off, the branches fell from pretty high up, with no branches on the tree to break their fall. I guess that's what our windshield, and hood did. It wasn't bad enough that the windshield was destroyed, but our hood as well. I'm not sure if they will be able to hammer it out or if they will need to replace the hood too.
So, now it's going to cost us $500 (Thank God Jon decided to lower our deductible in May), that's our only vehicle (aka I'm stuck in the apartment until it's fixed), but worst of all, we are moving on Wednesday to our new apartment. We truly need the truck to be fixed by then so we can move. I hope the windshield can get repaired by Tuesday if not Wednesday morning at the latest.
Highlight of the day, we met some of our neighbors Clay and Josh, and they are really cool. Clay works at the Veterans Hospital, and said they may be hiring in HR. Another high for the day- I may have a lead for a job!! We will see.
So we didn't end up getting to go to the gym, but we did run to Starbucks, drank a delicious vente green tea frap, for free (thanks to Jon's bday coupon), and had an awesome conversation with our new friend Clay.
Can't wait for the move, and to finally feel like we are home. I will post pics soon.
