Yesterday, I read Kristin and Katie's blog "There's Always Monday" and was challenged by their question that led them to blog three years ago...
" If you could do anything, like really anything, money didn't matter, neither did location, what would you do?"
That is a really hard question. As I was thinking about it, I felt like I wanted to have some really awesome answer where other people were impressed by my answer or I wanted to pick something that was unattainable to some extent.
I think that what I'm doing is exactly what I want to be doing... being a mommy. Since I was a kid I've dreamt of being a mom. Friends can vouch for me on this one... it has been my heart for a long time. I am beyond thankful to be home and experiencing it daily.
Other things that I want to be part of how I spend my time:
-impact the world
-mentor people
-further the kingdom of God
-personal training
-life coach
-photography
I'm not sure what all this means. At times I think if we could do anything we would go into ministry. Maybe we would serve overseas or state side. Maybe it would be a college ministry where I spend the majority of my time being a mom, but then I spend time mentoring college women. Maybe we would lead teams to different places.
For now, I am thankful to be doing exactly what I'm doing. What would you be doing?
I love this, and it warms my heart to hear you say you're doing exactly what you've always wanted to do. It doesn't get much better than that!
